Destiny: The Dark Below: here's how to grab Crota's End raid gear - alone

Destiny: The Dark Below introduces a new raid, which means a new tier of high-end loot. But you don't need five friends and six hours to get a piece of the new equipment.

The Dark Below's raid, Crota's End, is full of chests and battles from which you can score raid gear - radiant materials, armour and weapons.

Players haven't yet figured out how to access all the treasure (heck, we honestly don't yet know for sure how the chests work in the Vault of Glass), but even if they had, for many players getting a crew together to tackle the raid is just too hard.

Luckily, there's one chest you can get to on your tod, giving you one chance every week to nab a piece of raid gear. The video below (which, full disclosure, was made by a member of my clan), shows how easy it is enter the raid solo and open the chest.

Each raid loot chest is only available once a week, so once you've plundered this one, you'll have to wait until the next reset to have another go.
