Destiny's Crimson Days event goes live: all the details (including 320 Ghosts)
Destiny's Crimson Days Valentine's event is upon us. Here's everything you need to know.
Destiny's Crimson Days event is now live, bringing with it a new Crucible PvP mode, new emotes, the chance to win the excruciatingly elusive 320 Ghost and more. Get the patch notes here.
Bungie's Valentine's themed shindig will end next Tuesday, February 16.
The new Crucible mode is 2v2 Elimination mode called Crimson Doubles. Win five rounds against the opposing team and you emerge victorious.
If a teammate falls, their partner becomes heartbroken and "infused with the power of Broken Heart." In this vengeful state, the survivor will draw weapons faster and will have their recovery boosted to max.
This Broken Heart buff remains active until they die, their fallen teammate is revived or the round ends.
A new consumable, Crimson Candy, will also buff both the individual player and the Fireteam. Named Crimson Connection, this boosts experience gain on all equipped weapons for 30 minutes.
Crimson Days comes with new Bounties and the Crimson Bonds quest. These can be obtained from Lord Shaxx in the Tower prior to starting matches Doubles matches.
Players who complete the Crimson Bonds quest will walk away with a new Crimson Days emblem. Those who play Crimson Doubles will also have a chance to acquire new Shaders and new Ghost Shells - made from chocolate, hilariously - that can drop at up to 320 Light. If you've been pulling your hair our trying to get a 320 Ghost to drop in the King's Fall raid, this has to be worth a shot.
Finally, new emotes will be available in the Eververse Store. These are the Awkward and Strange dances, Secret Greeting, Fist Bump and Charm.
As always, holiday emotes are only available for a limited time in some cases, but once purchased the player can use them always.
Destiny: The Taken King's Crimson Days event runs February 9-16.
