Destiny 2: Iron Banner returns next week with a few changes

The first Destiny 2 Iron Banner event in Season 2 kicks off next week.

Being the first Iron Banner in 2018, and the first in Destiny 2's Season 2 of live events, Bungie wanted to make things more interesting.

First of all, the event returns on Tuesday, January 30 and ends Tuesday, February 6 with the new patch. Iron Banner Engrams will feature Season 2 weapons, but not all of them. Some will be saved for the next event.

You can expect the usual assortment of weapons, armour, Ghost Shells, sparrows, and an emblem that tracks the number of lifetime rank ups you've earned in Destiny 2. There's also going to be an Iron Banner ship, though Bungie is leaving that for players to discover.

Last season's rewards will be included in the Iron Banner Engram loot tables during this event, for those who missed them the first time around.

The most interesting change, though, is that you will be able to directly buy armour and three different weapons from Lord Saladin during each event. As for Iron Banner Ornaments, you'll be able to earn them by completing challenges and objectives given by Lord Saladin.

There is no limit on the number of Engrams or tokens you can earn during the events. See some of the new items below:
