Destiny 2: how to get maximum time in this week's Nightfall strike, Exodus Crash
This week's Nightfall strike in Destiny 2 is harder than last week's, and the time pressure makes it even more of a nightmare.
If you don't have the patience to run the Nightfall several times this week in Destiny 2, there's one proven trick you could take advantage of to at least ease up the time pressure.
As you're probably aware (perhaps because you've been reading our Destiny 2 guide), every Nightfall in Destiny 2 has a timer. Depending on the modifiers, the strike allows you to gain time back in various ways. For this week, you'll need to shoot the Anomalies you come across to regain time.
However, depending on how good your team is, you may still run out of time, particularly on the final boss. This week's Nightfall is Exodus Crash, and the final boss arena is definitely annoying. More than anything, it'll slow you down and potentially cause you not to finish the Nightfall in the allotted time.
However, there's one specific part of the strike you can exploit to raise your timer to the maximum possible limit and give yourself a better chance.
When you finish the wave-based fight where you have to protect the Ghost as it hacks the device, you'll need to go back the same way you came until the the location name reads 'Exodus Black'. Doing this will reactivate the large purple barrier you previously took down, and with it, the Anomaly on the top right.
If you keep going to back to Exodus Black and again to Prodromus Down (where the barrier is), the Anomaly will keep spawning and you can keep shooting it to gain time. You can repeat this as many times as you like, up to the Nightfall's maximum time.
You can even leave one teammate behind to keep doing this while the rest of you push forward to the boss room. I's pretty silly, but you can't argue with what works. See it for yourself below in this video (via Godz Elite):
This week's Flashpoint is on Titan. Clearing a Flashpoint grants you one Powerful (Luminous) Engram that will scale with your level. This is one of the ways you can level up fast, especially in the post 256-270 PL lull.
