Destiny 2 players find a classic exploit to cheese a Garden of Salvation raid boss
Destiny 2 players have figured out a way to cheese the Consecrated Mind boss fight in The Garden of Salvation raid.
It wouldn't be a Destiny 2 raid without some sort of boss cheese, and that's exactly what players did to The Consecrated Mind in Garden of Salvation, the new raid launched with Shadowkeep.
Spoilers for the raid beyond this point.
The Consecrated Mind's fight is the raid's penultimate. The fight demands the raid team splits into two groups; one chases the Mind around some hallways - some of them leading to pits - and solve a puzzle, while the other team works on taking down the bosses' shields.
But that's not how the aptly named Cheese Forever did it. The player figured out that throwing a Hunter smoke grenade near one of those pits can sometimes cause the boss to fall through it.
Interestingly, however, this doesn't end the encounter completely. Players still have to bring down the shields the right way. When that's done, the game will give out encounter rewards once it realises the boss is dead.
As you can see in the video, the exploit doesn't always work, so you might have to try a few times for the Mind to be confused and fall to its death. Beyond that, the boss has to be near that specific pit in order for it to work, at least that's what Cheese Forever recommends.
Cheese Forever called this the Atheon cheese, named after the final boss in The Vault of Glass raid, the very first Destiny raid. Like The Consecrated Mind, Atheon, too, stood near a pit that became his downfall, until Bungie patched it, of course.
Exploit or not, there's a pretty sweet Exotic weapon waiting for you at the end of The Garden of Salvation raid.
