Watch Bungie show off and detail every new super in Destiny 2: Forsaken

All subclasses for each of the three classes in Destiny 2 will get a new super as well as new abilities with the arrival of Forsaken.

The nine new supers, their perks and variations were discussed in great detail on the most recent Game Informer issue.

We've broken down all the new information in a story dedicated to Forsaken supers, but footage of everything new hadn't been released at the time.

Now, the magazine has put together a video that has Bungie's senior sandbox designer Claude Jerome going through every single one, showing it off and commenting on the utility they each provide.

We also get some valuable, sometimes amusing, insight into why the developer chose these abilities, and what their inspirations for some of them have been. The idea was to have the new abilities fill a gap in the class' repertoire, or create something entirely new.

Some of the best looking, most exciting ones include the new Thundercrash super for Titans, and the Whirling Guard super for the Hunter.

It's also interesting that Bungie is leaning a bit harder into defined roles for the three classes. The Titan's Code of the Commander subclass allows it to cast a shield that teammates can shoot through. He also do that while on the move, which I imagine would be great in closing the distance on enemies whenever there's little cover.

By the same token, the Warlock's Attunement of Grace produces a healing grenade that you can either stick to teammates, or leave around for them to pick up.
