Destiny 2: Forsaken leak reveals raid and strike names, story details, more
Destiny 2: Forsaken is just over three weeks away and a large number of details concerning the story, raid, strikes and more have made their way online.
This particular Destiny 2: Forsaken leak is interesting for two reasons. First, the Reddit user responsible, Ginsor, has leaked accurate Destiny information in the past.
More importantly, some of the details that show up in their story were later confirmed by Bungie in this week's this Week at Bungie blog post. More specifically, the information about the overhauled clan progression, clan engrams, and the Gambit mode rewards - particularly the Infamy system is all there.
It's worth pointing out that the leak is six days old, whereas Bungie's post went up last night. Do keep in mind that all of this can be considered a spoiler, so don't proceed any further if you're going in clean.
According to Ginsor, the events of the story start with Uldren, brother to the Awoken queen Mara, believing that his sister has been captured by the Techeun Illyn in the Dreaming City. Uldren is also seeing Mara and his visions, which are leading him to the gates of the Dreaming City.
It's not clear how the whole Prison of Elders situation happens, but the leak suggests Uldren decides to use prisoners as allies in his quest, which probably leads to the massive breakout. Petra Venj, the commander who served as the queen's emissary in the original game, attempts to regain control of the situation alongside Cayde-6, which leads to the latter's death.
The events of the story will see Uldren succeed in opening the doors to the Dreaming City, though his quest will abruptly end when he gets eaten by some creature. It's not clear what it is, but the Reddit leaker is so positive about this happening because it'll unfold in a pre-rendered cut-scene.
Guardians will assist Petra in protecting the city for the rest of the campaign. She's also one of the main NPCs in the game, offering bounties and so on.
Although the Reddit user doesn't specifically mention this, the monster responsible for Uldren's death could be the raid's final boss. What they do mention, however, is that the boss is named Dul Incaru, the Eternal Return. The raid itself is called Last Wish, and will obviously feature normal and prestige modes.
Forsaken will launch with four strikes, they say, named Warden of Nothing, The Hollowed Lair, The Corrupted, and Broodhold, and all four can be Nightfalls.
There are a few other details in the leak, such as the quest chain to reclaim Cayde-6's Ace of Spades from Uldren, repair it and return it to its former glory. They also shared the image you see above, which shows several new ghost shapes, some cool bow designs, and a taken-themed sparrow.
