Destiny 2: downtime coming to implement new hotfixes on console and PC
Four hours of downtime for Destiny 2 are right around the corner - either today or tomorrow, depending on your time zone.
The downtime is expected to last for four hours. A good time to play another game, perhaps, or you could just spend it reading over our extensive Destiny 2 guide to prepare for it coming back.
Destiny 2 will be going offline between 8am and 12pm Pacific Time on Thursday, November 16. If you're already in a game at 8am, you will be allowed to stay in there until 9am before being booted for maintenance. During this time, Hotfix 1.0.7 will be implemented for console versions, while PC players will receive Hotfix 1.0.7.1.
What will these Hotfixes do, though, and what's unique about the PC hotfix? We're not sure - Bungie is yet to release any patch notes. It could be general fixes, it could be preparation for Curse of Osiris, it's hard to say (although it can't be anything too Earth-shattering, or we'd be told).
There's fairly short notice on this particular patch of downtime, so hopefully it won't impact on anyone's plan to take on the Leviathan Raid, or completing this week's Raid Challenge.
In any case, the game will be back by noon on consoles and PC.
