Desert Bus for Hope charity stream ends with over $730K raised, and $5.2 million lifetime

The 12th annual Desert Bus for Hope stream ended yesterday and set a record for donations earned.

After 160 hours, the longest run to date, Desert Bus for Hope finished its run with $730,289 and some change in donations. The figure brings its lifetime total in donations to more than $5.2 million.

For over a week, nearly onsite 50 and 60 offsite volunteers assisted in driving the in-game bus from Tucson to Las Vegas.

Along with the record hours spent playing Desert Bus, the team saw its largest auction at $12,000, and the largest non-ending shift hit $101,014.73.

The run had a peak viewership of 11,026 viewers, over 6,300 unique donors, and the stream averaged $1.26 per second in donations.

All proceeds from Desert Bus for Hope will be donated to Child’s Play Charities.
