Descenders gets a dedicated Xbox Series X/S update, still available on Game Pass

Descenders, the popular extreme sports game where you go downhill on a bike and attempt to avoid fatal collisions, is now available on Xbox Series X/S.

In coming to the new generation of Microsoft hardware, the game has seen a few updates, too: anyone that already owns the game on Xbox One will be able to upgrade to the Series X/S for free, and will be able to enjoy a 120fps mode, PC cross-play, and eight-player lobbies (an upgrade from last gen's four-player lobbies), too.

For anyone with an Xbox Series X, there’s a choice of modes you can play the game in. Whether you opt for High Performance mode (120fps/1080p), Performance mode (4k/60fps), or Resolution mode (4k with a variable 40-60fps) depends on what you value most in your games.

Series S owners get some choices, but they’re not quite as broad: on the Series X's little brother, you can choose between either Performance mode (1080p/60fps) or Resolution mode (1440p at variable 40-60fp).

Better yet, the game is available on Xbox Game Pass, so if you want to try it out for yourself, all you need to do is head on over to the Game Pass menu on your console of choice and add it to your collection.

If you're a PC player, you'll also be pleased to know that the game has had an update there, too; more foliage, better lighting, improved draw distances, motion blur, and better anti-aliasing have all been added in a new update. Also, there's cross-play! So you can play with all your mates on Xbox, too.

If you're interested in picking the game up so you can own it forever, you'll be pleased to know that the game is currently discounted by 25% on the Microsoft Store.
