Def Jam Rapstar developer 4mm Games is on the verge of shutting up shop.
Founder Jamie King - also one of the original Rockstar team - told Gamesindustry that a legal battle with record label EMI is the nail in the company's coffin.
"We're rather starved for money. We have not got any new funding and obviously we need to resolve everything with Rapstar. And we've also got to eat," King said.
EMI has asked 4MM for more than $8 million - which it simply doesn't have.
