Deadeye review: The Division Underground's rarest gear set is a bit of a mixed bag
The Division players are divided (ah ha) over the quality of this unusual gear set.
The Division Underground introduced a number of gear sets, and Arekkz ischecking them out one by one. Today's topic is Deadeye.
Deadeye's first set bonus at two pieces is +20% Marskam critical bonus damage. The three piece set is 40% initial bullet stability.
It's the four piece bonus that makes things interesting - you'll get a critical shot 100% of the time when not using a scope, but no headshot damage bonus.
The set is best used with rapid-firing Marksman rifles, but the lack of headshot damage means players using standard Marksman builds will find the trade-off of headshot damage to steep to stomach.
However, while the gear set might not be worthwhile for PvE players who like to go slow and hit hard, it's a lot of fun in PvP where you can't always rely on getting headshots due to unpredictable player movement. You'll need to abandon typical Marksman builds though, and treat your rifle like an SMG, to get the benefit. Watch the video above for further information.
Deadeye is only available in The Division Underground. The expansion is out now on PC and Xbox One, and comes to PS4 August 2.
