Dead Rising 3 to bring back Isabela, Chuck - rumour

Some snippets of story details have allegedly escaped from the curtain of silence over Dead Rising 3.

Siliconera cites its regular anonymous Dead Rising source for word that two characters will return from previous games, tying up story lines left open by previous instalments.

Isabele Keyes is one of these; Isabela first appeared in the original Dead Rising and returned briefly in Dead Rising 2: Case West. According to the source, the character has been trapped inside a Phenorans lab for years, working on a cure for the zombie virus, and is finally freed when the zombie outbreak hits Los Perdidos. She is searching for blood from patient zero in Dead Rising 3.

Dead Rising 2's primary protagonist Chuck Greene will return, too, but no details were given, except that he's not central to the main story.

Finally, one new character was briefly described - Diego, a close, childhood friend of main protagonist Nick Ramos, who joined the army and has had a difficult career due to the events of the first Dead Rising.

Naturally this is filed under rumour, but remember that Siliconera was the first to have details of Dead Rising 3's protagonist and setting, just after it was first teased and a a good 18 months ahead of reveal.

The site has also claimed to have details of the game's psychopath bosses.

Dead Rising 3 is due on Xbox One this year; Capcom is taking advantage of the platform exclusive to deliver SmartGlass not available through other means.
