Dead Rising 3 shipments pass 1 million

Dead Rising 3 has shipped over one million units across Europe, North America and beyond.

The news comes direct from Capcom, and only pertain to shipments made up to December 20 2013 - so the figure may be slightly higher by now.

Note that shipment numbers are not the same as sell-through figures; this announcement gives an idea of retailer demand for product, not how many copies have been purchased by end users.

Capcom noted that dead Rising 3 is its 62nd title to pass 1 million units shipped.

Dead Rising 3's first DLC pack, Operation Broken Eagle, rolled out in the US today. It was preceded by a whopping 13GB patch, which is related to the DLC but also full of fixes.

The Xbox One exclusive launched alongside Microsoft's new console in November last year.
