Dead or Alive: Last Round is crashing and freezing on Xbox One

The Xbox One port of Dead or Alive: Last Round is not very stable.
Multiple reports from users on Reddit and GameFAQs all point to crashes in both online and offline modes.
Some players can only play the tutorial without the game crashing, others have had better luck when disabling Throwdowns.
"We've been investigating the issue reported at this moment and we are working closely with both 1st party platforms," Team Ninja told Videogamer. "We will let you know as soon as we have any updates. We apologies for any inconvenience players might have experienced."
The issue seems to only affect Xbox One at the moment, at least according to the reports.
