Dead Island available for pre-order on Steam with bonuses

Deep Silver has announced a pre-order exclusive for Dead Island on Steam, which is available for pre-purchase on the service starting today.
The version on Steam comes with a weapon called The Ripper, which looks as though a baseball bat and a buzz saw mated and had once messed up looking kid.
Those who prefer to go the physical route, can get the weapon as a pre-order from GameStop.
Other goodies included with the Steam offer include the Bloodbath Arena DLC, which is also included with the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions at different retailers. It will be made available a month later for purchase on all formats for those who did not pre-order or pre-purchase. It will run you $10.
Dead Island is out on September 6.
