Apparently playing hide and seek with Dark Souls 3 players is popular, especially when you can disguise yourself as an NPC. But it's actually much easier to hide from an invader than you might think - just lie down on a dead giant's back and watch the confusion build from there.
The proof comes from a Dark Souls 3 video from Wielkimati, who gets into position right before three players invade the game. These characters explore the region several times, walking directly past him, and completely fail to notice anything strange. One invader manages to spot him at around the three-minute mark, but the others continue for almost seven minutes before all was revealed. At one point, they seem to get so resigned to not finding anyone, they resort to teabagging motions not realizing they were in full view of Wielkimati.
To everyone's credit, everyone was so impressed with the hiding spot they refused to enter combat - they simply applauded Wielkimati's skill and moved on. Now come on Dark Souls 3 players - let's try and find another location more obvious yet oblivious than a giant's back!
