Dark Souls 3 Twitter uses Sad Affleck meme to promote upcoming release
Dark Souls 3 publisher Bandai Namco has been really trying some unorthodox ways to market the upcoming release of the game.
From the bizarre chicken wings eating contest, to teaming up with Hostel director Eli Roth to produce a short animated video that, for the most part, has nothing to do with the themes of Dark Souls, Namco isn't leaving anything off the table.
Today's latest antic comes in the form of adapting the Sad Affleck meme to make it look like Ben Affleck was thinking of his time playing the series' various games in that interview. It's well edited, too, replacing the original question with a Dark Souls-related one.

If you're not familiar with this meme, it originates from a video interview done around the release of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in which Affleck and Henry Cavil were asked about their thoughts of the film's negative critical response.
Cavil tries to answer the question, all the while Affleck sort of tunes out, leaving a big frown on his face. The meme part was born when someone added Simon and Garfunkel's The Sound of Silence into this bit.
