Dark Souls 3 PC vs PS4 frame-rate and graphics comparison
The outcome really isn't that dire.
Where would we be without comparison videos for upcoming games we're super psyched about? Today, Digital Foundry takes a side-by-side look at Dark Souls 3 on PS4 and PC.
The most notable difference is the console's 30fps - with some stuttering - and the PC's 60fps. If you have the right hardware, you're in for a real treat on PC.
Motion blur is another area where the PS4 lags behind when compared to PC on high settings, as well as shadow quality, although it's not drastic enough to rend your garments over. Other than that, textures and lighting are exactly the same across the two platforms.
So depending on your eye for detail, the drop in frame-rate is the only thing you should lament. But I doubt you'll notice once you get stuck in.
