Dark Souls 2 guide: Crown of the Ivory King - Frigid Outskirts
Venture into a raging snowstorm and battle two more King's pet bosses.
It's really hard to see and keep your bearings in this wild snowstorm, although it dies down every 30 seconds or so. In the coffin closeby you'll find two Blackweed Balms. Head on over to the statues that you can see from here, where you're able to summon two spirits to help you.
If you head right until you see a light you'll make your way directly to the boss fight over the other side of a bridge. Along the way you'll be attacked by Phantom Horses (which you should fight from a distance).
If you want to explore first you'll find two buildings, both roughly in the middle of the area. One has a Rampart Golem inside, but the other is far more interesting. Inside you'll find a number of Prisoners and a lock for a Pharros' Lockstone. Using it will create a pool of liquid that replenishes health of you and your companions.
When you're ready to fight the bosses, go through the mist gate and confront Lud, the King's Pet and Zallon, the King's Pet.
Boss Battle: Lud, the King's Pet and Zallen, the King's Pet
Reward: Soul of Lud, the King's Pet and Soud of Zallen, the King's Pet
Lud and Zallen fight very similar to Aava, the King's Pet. You can employ the same tactics here as you did in the previous boss fight, although with two it's a much longer battle.
You have a little time before Zallen appears, so kick as much of Lud's arse as possible. Make sure you're equipped with defensive kit that reduces magic attacks. both allies are helpful here to distract the bosses, meaning you can attack from a far distance, although remember the location is smaller than where you fought Aava.
Try and kill at least one boss before both your helpers are dead and you won't find it too tough. once you killed both bosses, go through the open and towards the light. Examine it and you'll return to Frozen Eleum Loyce, Expulsion Chamber bonfire.
