Cyberpunk 2077 Has Three Different Starting Prologues To Choose From
Your origin will change where you start the game, among other things.

You'll be determining your own destiny in Cyberpunk 2077, and it looks like that includes your origin story as well. Three different starting prologues will be in Cyberpunk 2077, which will include different starting location and story backgrounds.
In correspondence with VG247 following E3 2019, lead quest designer Pawel Sasko confirmed that the Badlands area is just one of three origins for your character in Cyberpunk 2077. Sasko says these origins, called "lifepaths," will change where and how you start your journey.
"You can be Nomad, Corpo or Street Kid," Sasko told VG247. "Each of that Lifepaths has a different starting location and story background that are strongly connected with the origin story. Anything more I say can reveal too much from the story, so I will leave it like this."
Unlike The Witcher series, which puts you firmly in the boots of Geralt of Rivia, Cyberpunk is allowing a much greater degree of player character customization. This includes defining your character down to their gender and identity. It'll also have more fleshed-out romances than Geralt ever got, though sadly, it seems those won't include Keanu Reeves' character.
It's cool that your character will have a defining origin, something to add to the role-playing and replay experience. Considering CD Projekt plans to spend some time in the Cyberpunk universe, it's cool that they're still letting you define and shape it to be how you want to see it. We'll see more as we approach the game's release date on April 16, 2020.
