Cyberpunk 2077 has colour-coded gear rarities
Cyberpunk 2077 is an RPG first, which means the gear you acquire will be colour-coded for the different rarities.
In our preview of Cyberpunk 2077, Matt noted that you will see numbers flying off enemies as you attack them like you do in Destiny, Borderlands or more hardcore RPGs.
This is something relatively common in RPGs, but that's just one part of the story. V, Cyberpunk 2077's protagonist, relies a lot on abilities and passive skills, but the gear you'll find will also conform to RPG staples.
You'll find items and weapons in different rarities (epic, common, etc.) and they'll each come with a specific colour. Purple for epic and so on. Kotaku pointed this out in their preview, which you can read at the link.
The Cyberpunk 2077 E3 hands-off demo has seemingly impressed everyone who came to see it, but some fans are worried about the shift to first-person by CD Projekt RED, a developer known for making third-person games.
It's hard to judge the public reception now, but that will change when people actually get to see the demo for themselves.
Cyberpunk 2077 does not yet have a release date.
