Cuphead releasing on Switch April 18 with playable Mugman as free content update
Cuphead is coming to Nintendo Switch next month.
Nintendo has announced Cuphead is coming to Switch on April 18. The game was announced during the company's Nindies Showcase today.
Cuphead was previously rumored for the system earlier this year when reports of Xbox Game Pass coming to Switch surfaced.
The game is an indie darling, what with its rather hard levels, and fun 1930s cartoon-style and humor. It's a pretty great co-op game too, and much easier with a friend playing with you.
Sometime this year an add-on called The Delicious Last Course will be released for the game.
The Delicious Last Course brings a new island, new weapons, charms and bosses. It's slated for PC and Xbox One, but wasn't mentioned during the Nintendo stream today.
What it will have is a new free content update which adds a playable Mugman in single-player, new fully animated cutscenes, never-before-seen art and fight intros.
Expect a plethora of bug fixes, and "plenty of secret" for players to discover, according to Studio MDHR. This update will be available for PC, Switch, and Xbox One on April 18.
Cuphead is available for pre-purchase on Switch today, and will run you $19.99/ £16.99/ €19.99.
