When Zeboyd Games started a donation drive to fund the PC port of Cthulhu Saves the World, the team set a goal of $3000 in one month.

They did it in days, and the numbers continue to climb.

Big Download reports that the project's Kickstarter fundraising coffer is now in excess of $4600, with around twenty days till the deadline.

According to a post on the Zeboyd Games site, over half of that turned up in the first 48 hours.

"Wow. Just wow. I didn’t know what to expect when I started our fundraiser yesterday, but I was certainly not expecting that we’d get over $2500 pledge in about a day and a half. Thank you! Thank you so much!"

According to the Kickstarter project summary, the development team planned to add new features to the Xbox Live Indie version of the game dependent on how much funding they could raise.

While no guarantees have been givien, the blog does comment that "the future is looking very bright".

[Update] Corrected XBLA/XBIG error.
