Crytek does "not have any next generation hardware from Microsoft"
Crytek has denied it has a next generation Microsoft console in the studio, and that rumors pertaining to such are false.
Earlier this week, a rumor surfaced stating Crytek was in possession of a next-gen Xbox console which used DX11 tech, and would be announced at E3 2012.
Crytek has told Gamespot it does "not have any next generation hardware from Microsoft" and has no idea when Microsoft will announce its future console plans.
However, it did tell Gamespot that its CryEngine "under-the-hood technology will be a next generation engine for all consoles," based on estimates.
The firm also told the site that it was working on "pushing the boundaries of what current technology can bring", and to expect a DX11 update for Crysis 2 "shortly."
No mention was made regarding the extra Timesplitter 4 bits.
