Crysis 2 Xbox 360 demo randomly selecting players to try out Pier 17 map
A report over on Digital Foundry states that folks playing the Crysis 2 demo on Xbox 360 are being tossed into a second map called Pier 17 on a random basis.
The extra map explains the size of the demo, which is 1.8GB and seems rather large for just the Skyline map.
"Some players may have noticed a map other than Skyline enter into their map rotation," noted a Crytek man on the game's official forums. "This is not in error, but due to us testing playlists and backup systems. However, this other map will not be widely available in this demo period, and therefore you will not be able to unlock it yet.
"During this demo and the period up until launch we will be adjusting and balancing the game and fixing bugs, and we will announce in the coming days what happens after the end of this 360 exclusive demo on Feb 4th."
Those who've yet to be randomly selected for the map can view YouTube user ITheFatNinja's time in it below.
A PC demo is expected sometime before launch.
Crysis 2 releases on March 22 in NA and March 25 in Europe for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
