Can't get the Crysis 2 multiplayer demo working? It's an epidemic, and it may be over.
I won't bore you with the full patch notes, but the key fixes here include rectifying issues with account creation, lifting the ban on special characters in user names, and fixing the crash on force disconnect from a dedicated server.
The patch weighs in at a sarcastically hefty 37 MB, and should auto-install when you fire up the demo.
Otherwise, it can be manually downloaded and installed from one of several mirrors including Big Download and games.on.net.
