Crysis 2 MC average beats both KZ3 and Bulletstorm
With the dust settling on Crysis 2's reviews, the shooter has settled close to 90 percent on Metacritic for every format, giving it a lead over other current triple-A action releases and making it the highest scorer in the genre this year.
The highly anticipated action title, which released yesterday in the US and hits Europe on Friday, now has a Metacritic average of 89 percent for PC; 88 percent on PS3; and 87 percent on 360.
The Xbox 360 version was the most heavily reviewed, with the final score based on 26 verdicts. The PS3 version was reviewed 15 times, while the PC average was based on 12 scores.
The scores put the title ahead of the current crop of high profile shooters, beating Epic's superb Bulletstorm, which managed 84 percent on all formats; Killzone 3, which took an 84 percent average as a PS3 exclusive; and Kaos Studio's Homefront, which scraped over 70 percent on all formats.
The reviews were published yesterday afternoon in the wake of a monster launch trailer for the game, which you can watch below.
