Crowd stampedes through E3 to play The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Behold the power of the Treehouse.

Nintendo opted not to go with a press conference this year, dedicating their time to the Treehouse and showcasing next year's big title, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

There was some disappointment amongst fans about this, particularly those who were keen to get a glimpse of the NX, but once the Treehouse kicked off and gameplay of the new Zelda game was shown, it quickly became one of the most talked about games of the show on social media.

The buzz created from finally getting a decent look at the game wasn't just restricted to those of us at home. People queued up for as long as four hours on the final day of E3 for a hands-on, and went ruddy mental, running through the show floor like a bunch of crazed Pac-Man ghosts, with utter disregard for the sanctity of queues.

Experience the madness firsthand next year, when The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild drops for Wii U and Nintendo NX.
