Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time launching this October
It was recently revealed that Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time is scheduled to launch on October 2, 2020.
"It's about wumping time," said the launch trailer shown during today's Summer Games Fest livestream. You can check out the full announcement trailer in the video embedded below.
Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time is set to become the first Crash game in over 10 years. When confronted by Cortex in the trailer, Crash and Coco are asked how many times they've defeated the nefarious villain by a new Aku Aku-esque mask.
"Only three?" jokes the mask. "Funny, seems like more."
A recent press release revealed extra details about what players can expect.
"Our lovingly absurd marsupials are back and putting a fresh spin, jump and wump on conflicts of cosmic proportions, discovering expansive new worlds, unexpected allies, larger-than-life boss battles and powerful new Quantum Masks that must be united to restore order to the multiverse."
"They’ll be able to play as Crash or Coco on their journey to save the multiverse, and new playable characters, including the fiendish Neo Cortex, will also emerge to provide an alternative perspective on our hero bandicoots’ quest to defeat their nefarious nemeses."
The trailer gives us our first look at what appears to be quite a wild world, featuring everything from spacesuits, to tentacle plants that whack you as you jump past them, to weird sea monsters, to a Tyrannosaurus Rex falling in a big pool of lava.
Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time is scheduled to launch for PS4 and Xbox One on October 2, 2020.
If you're hungry for gameplay details, you're in luck. Quavo, one of the rappers in hip-hop trio Migos, will be demoing Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time today on his social channels.
Apparently, Activision has stated that it has “several” remastered games scheduled to be revealed in 2020.
