Counter-Strike: Global Offensive's Operation Payback makes $150,000 for map makers
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive's Twitter feed has confirmed that Valve's Operation Payback has generated over $150,000 in revenue for participating map makers. That's a spilt of over $20,000 each.
Announced back in April, Operation Payback is a pass that runs until the July 31, giving you access to official low-ping servers hosting seven of the best player-created maps for $2,99.
This sounds like a huge success for both Valve and talented map makers and we wouldn't be surprised if it happens again.
