A new operation is now live in the world of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

Operation Wildfire is the latest Valve-hosted event for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive players. Like the previous operations before it, Wildfire adds new community-made maps, gun skins, and comes with its own pass.

This optional pass can be yours for $6, and it gets you the usual stat-tracking journal and coin, which in turn get you Wildfire-themed cases and weapon drops. There are also two new campaigns in Wildfire and Gemini, which send you on multi-mission sessions.

Another new type of these is called Blitz Missions, which grant you bonus XP for performing specific tasks. They happen randomly, and you must be Private Rank 3 or above to take part.

Nuke (de_nuke), one of Counter-Strike's all-time classics, is also returning. The new version not only looks different, but the layout has changed a bit. The new Nuke is available in competitive matchmaking, and as part of the Operation Wildfire map group.

Operation Wildfore also brings a wide array of fixes and balance changes to the main game. Which include " target="_new">map, weapon, and UI changes.
