Contrast dev's We Happy Few takes to Kickstarter
Unusual survival sim We Happy Few wants you - to give it some money.
We Happy Few has garnered plenty of attention for its gorgeous retro-futuristic 1960's setting and unusual premise.
Contrast developer Compulsion Games has launched a fundraising campaign for the project on Kickstarter.
The campaign is looking for CAD$250,000. Not sure if it sounds like your thing? Check out 15 minutes of pre-alpha gameplay below.
Set in a world in which Germany occupied (and largely flattened) England during WWII, it has players struggling to escape a city in which almost all the inhabitants take a mind control drug called Joy, reducing them to cheerful zombies.
Through stealth, combat, crafting and subterfuge players explore the randomly-generated town, attempting to fool the crowds into thinking they have taken their Joy.
We Happy Few will launch first on PC, then Linux and Mac. Console ports are on the table but not guaranteed.
