According to Eidos (press release after the link), over 500,000 people have signed up to either the Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures ‘Clan of Conan’ fan club or the ongoing beta.

Durham, USA – February 6th, 2008 – Funcom and Eidos are excited to announce that over 500,000 gamers from all over the world have signed up to become a member of the Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures community by either signing up for the ongoing beta test or by joining the ‘Clan of Conan’ official fan club. Funcom is responding to the growing numbers by introducing websites and forums for the English, German, French and Spanish market to support the launch in all of these territories.
