Company of Heroes 2 - pre-purchase, pre-order incentives, Digital Collector’s Edition announced
Company of Heroes 2 is available for pre-purchase on Steam, the service has announced, and THQ has sent over a list of other pre-order incentives available through other retailers.
On Steam, those who drop cash early net guaranteed beta access when it is available on Steam as well as the German Rotbraun and Russian Leningrad Pattern Bundle.
In addition, players can help unlock additional rewards as more Steam users pre-purchase.
Possible rewards, according to the page, include: "exclusive Company of Heroes 2 TF2 Items, A Free copy of Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II: Retribution, and the Company of Heroes 2 Commissar Chest."
All customers who pre-order the game from participating retailers will receive a global pre-order bonus consisting of two vehicle skins for their medium weight vehicles, the German Rotbraun and Soviet Leningrad, with selected retailers also offering guaranteed beta access during the closed beta phase.
Players who choose to pre-order from Origin will receive all of the global pre-order incentives as well as an exclusive Soviet Bryansk Front vehicle skin to convert their heavy vehicles.
ShopTHQ pre-order customers will receive the same global pre-order incentives as well as the Command Pass, which will entitle players to download new bonus multiplayer maps as well as take part in exclusive member’s only events. The Command Pass will also be available for purchase separately post-release.
As well as Standard Edition of the game, a Digital Collector’s Edition is available for $99.99.
Included in this edition is access to the first three single player Content Packs when they become available as well as the Command Pass, exclusive heavy German Whitewash and Soviet Winter Cobblestone tank skins and a Veteran badge to display on the player’s in-game profile. Additionally, players will receive the original Company of Heroes base game with both its expansion packs.
Company of Heroes 2 is out in early 2013.
