CoD Warzone Red Doors | What they do and where to find them
One of the new features introduced with the launch of Call of Duty: Warzone's fourth season are the mysterious Red Doors.
What are Red Doors in Call of Duty: Warzone
The purpose of the Red Doors in the latest season of Warzone have been deliberately shrouded in mystery. Even their announcement on the Call of Duty developer blog was teasingly plastered with [[REDACTED]] marks all over the key information.
However, we can now confirm that Warzone's Red Doors are teleport points allowing for a kind of fast travel — but with a twist.
Rather than linking to a fixed location or giving you a choice of destination, entering a Red Door will instantly transport you to a random point in Verdansk. It's still early to know exactly how they work — for example, we don't know whether a squad can travel through together or if each player would be sent to a different random location.
What we do know is that these doors have a high likelihood of sending you somewhere with lots of loot to be had. It's up to you whether that's worth the risk of splitting up a squad, but I recommend solo players take advantage of all the doors they can.
How to find and use Red Doors in Call of Duty: Warzone
Red Doors seem to spawn in randomly, so unfortunately we can't draw you a map to their exact locations at this point in time.
However, there are a few telltale signs that a red door is nearby. The most obvious one is, of course, that there's a red door in the area — quite possibly looking a bit out of place, though equally they can blend in with some buildings quite well.
Red Doors also emit a distinctive sound. If you hear a low, static-y metallic hum — especially if it's unfamiliar to you from previous Warzone experience — odds are it's because there's a Red Door somewhere in the vicinity.
