Civ V hitting Mac this year

Mac-loving Aspyr Media has confirmed it's to launch a Mac version of Civilization V this "holiday".

No specific date was set.

No other detail was given that looks anything different to the PC version, but there was a quote issued by a man:

"The Civilization franchise is a fan-favorite and one of the best-selling Mac games ever. We are thrilled to be able to participate in this newest version and bring Mac gamers this native experience so close to the PC launch," says Ted Staloch, Aspyr Media’s EVP.

There was no mention of the Mongols Civilization and Scenario Pack and the Babylonian Civilization Pack, both of which are launching for PC next week.

But what the hey. Get awesome, Mac people. We'll have a solid date for the new version of the excellent hex-based strategy game soon, no doubt.
