Chivalry 2 is out this June, closed beta dates set
Chivalry 2 is back with a new trailer, and a release date.
As part of the Epic Games Store Spring Showcase, Torn Banner studios announced the release date for Chivalry 2, the first-person melee multiplayer action game.
Chivalry 2 will be out June 8 on PC (EGS), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. The game's closed beta will take place March 26-29, and guaranteed access is available to anyone who pre-orders the game. The beta will support cross-play on PC and consoles.
The game brings back the chaos and satisfying melee combat of the original, and expands the scale considerably to offer 64-player online matches. Chivalry 2 was originally set for release last year, but got pushed back to this year. Since then, the Torn Banner hosted a couple of limited tests with players, but the upcoming closed beta will be the game's biggest.
Alongside the news, the studio released a new developer diary giving us an updated look at gameplay, and a little bit of a behind-the-scenes look at development progress, and what the team hopes to achieve with this game.
Chivalry 2 is up for pre-order on the Epic Store right now.
