Child's Play charity running pre-E3 golf tournament
Come one, come all. The Penny Arcade-founded children's charity and the Entertainment Software Association (ESA) have set up the first annual Child's Play Invitational Golf Tournament, to be held on Sunday June 5 in Pasadena.
The tournament is open to industry members and fans alike, with all proceeds from the $150 ticket price - $175 if you need to rent clubs with which to hit the ball - going to the charity's partner hospitals and facilities.
In addition to the warm fuzzy feeling you'll get for helping a good cause, you'll also be well looked after on the day. For your entry fee you'll receive:
- Greens Fees Covered
- Power Cart Rental
- Boxed Lunch
- Beverages
- An Awards BBQ Dinner Afterward!
- Longest Drive, Closest to Pin and Putting Contests
- Free Gift Bags for all Participants/Donors.
- Complimentary Shuttle from and to downtown Los Angeles
Tickets for the event are available from the Penny Arcade store. Further details about the work that Child's Play do is available on the organisation's website.
Sounds like a good way to gear up for Microsoft and Sony's press conferences, which have been confirmed for June 6?
