Charizard, Copperajah, Duraludon, and Garbodor are currently appearing in Pokemon Sword and Shield raid battles
Pokemon Sword and Shield players can fight it out in new Max Raid Battles.
With the Wild Arena event ended, Pokemon Sword and Shield players have something else to look forward to starting today with new Max Raid Battles.
This month's battles will be live through April 27 and feature version-specific Pokemon.
Participating in these battles gives you a chance at catching Gigantamax variants of Charizard, Copperajah, Duraludon, and Garbodor.
Because the battles are version-specific, Gigantamax Charizard and Garbodor can only be captured in Sword, while Copperajah and Duraludon can be caught in Shield.
You will have to partner up in online co-op with a player that owns a respective version of the game if you wish to catch all variants (thanks, Siliconera).
Last month's Max Raid Battles featured Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, and Mewtwo.
Further out, Sword and Shield players have Zarude, the mythical Dark/Grass-type Pokemon, coming to the game.
At this time, it's unknown when the Pokemon will make its appearance. But in Japan, those who have pre-purchased tickets to see the new film, Pokemon the Movie: Coco, will receive a code for the creature alongside a Shiny Celebi.
The film's theatrical release in Japan is slated for July 10.
