CCP in talks with Gaikai and OnLive, World of Darkness still in pre-production

CCP said during its EVE Fanfest event that it's in talks with Gaikai and OnLive regarding cloud releases of EVE Online. The firm also reiterated, once again, it is still in the pre-production phase for its World of Darkness MMO, and there isn't a release timeframe for it just yet.

Speaking with Eurogamer at the event, CCP's chief marketing officer David Reid said offering the firm's titles on cloud services is "really important" not just for the core EVE experience but for Planetary Interaction as well.

"You could see things like that [Planatery Interaction] finding their ways to tablets and mobile devices," Reid said. "There isn't some giant announcement about that [though]."

As far as World of Darkness was concerned, Reid said the game is still in pre-production and we'll have to wait until the "keynote tonight to articulate" when the firm thinks it "will be out of pre-production."

Reid also reiterated his and CEO Hilmar Pétursson's remarks in February, stating that there are sixty people working on the gamer at the moment in the Atlanta offices.
