Now, Famitsu reports - as translated by Gematsu and Hokanko - that Casting Voice is being co-developed for PS3 by Namco Bandai and Crafts & Meister, developers of Gundam Breaker.

The site adds that players will step into the shoes of a producer charged with hiring and firing voice actors, hold casting calls and enter the studio to record dialogue. As your profile rises, you'll unlock new projects and scripts on your path to industry notoriety. Some 40 Japanese voice actors have signed up for the title.

Characters include Saya Uchiyama, a 20-year-old aspiring to be an anime voice actor, former idol actor Kumiko Tojou, a voice ator focusing on cute, male characters called Kiyohiko Hino, and finally, older voice actor and stern sod Takashi Dojo.

The game is currently 30% complete and will drop on PS3 next year.
