Additional cast members announced for Showtime’s Halo series
The cast for Showtime's Halo series continues to fill out with six additional actors announced this week.
Additional cast members for Showtime’s Halo series have been announced, with Natascha McElhone and Bokeem Woodbine both playing major roles in the show.
McElhone (Californication, Designated Survivor) will play the role of Dr. Catherine Halsey, who created the Spartan super-soldiers. She will also play the role of Cortana.
Woodbine (Fargo, Wonderland) will play Soren-066, an old friend of Master Chief's who, according to Deadline, is a "morally complex privateer at the fringes of human civilization."
Other cast members include Shabana Azmi (Fire, Next of Kin), Natasha Culzac (Toruviel in The Witcher), Bentley Kalu (Avengers: Age of Ultron), and Kate Kennedy (Catastrophe, various voice roles in video games).
Azmi will play Admiral Margaret Parangosky, while the others will portray characters new to the Halo series.
It was previously announced American Gods and Orange is the New Black actor Pablo Schreiber will star as Master Chief. A new character called Quan Ah, played by Australian actress Yerin Ha (Reef Break), was also previously announced.
The Halo series is set to officially begin production this fall in Budapest and is slated to air Q1 2021.
