Carbine Studios producer discusses unannounced MMO
Eric DeMilt, senior producer at Carbine Studios, has shared some new details regarding the studio's unannounced MMO.
He revealed that they're getting closer showing their project to the rest of the world, and have been doing a lot of testing of late.
DeMilt disclosed that Carbine has spent a lot of time on internal review, self critique, gathering feedback and collecting data for the game. It has also set up a usability testing lab, where they invite groups of players to try out the game with the dev team keeping a close eye on them, observing what's happening on the screen and the player's reaction to it.
One portion of his letter mentions that the game contains puzzles, and that it's going to feature a unique art style and a gameworld which is filled with technology and magic.
Eric confirmed that it would be showing the game to the public at Gamescom for the first time ever and it'll also have a presence at PAX.
Carbine Studios' unannounced MMO is the work of a team of veterans who had previously worked on titles like World of Warcraft, Everquest 1 and 2, Warhammer Online, City of Heroes, Free Realms, Diablo II, and StarCraft.
You can read the entire letter over here, which contains lots of other information about the progress they've made with the game.
