Capcom's Svensson hints at more western collaboration announces for Captivate

Capcom US SVP Christian Svensson has confirmed the publisher will announce more collaborations with western studios in the near-future, suggesting potential announcements could take place at Captivate.

The publisher has tactical shooter Resident Evil: Raccoon City on the way from Slant Six, as well as the now Capcom-owned Blue Castle Games - now Capcom Vancouver - involved in Dead Rising 2.

But the most well-known - and probably controversial at the same time - collaboration is the upcoming pair of Ninja Theory and its Devil May Cry reboot.

But that's not all that's coming from Capcom on that front, according to Svensson.

"You'll see us announce some more in the not-so-distant future. Suffice to say, we have not at all stepped away [from Western developer partnerships]," Svensson told Gamasutra.

"We have sought to improve on our working process, our collaborative process, we have sought to improve upon the quality of the teams with which we work."

Captivate will take place between April 2-4, although an embargo will be placed after the event has taken place in all likelihood, going by past events.
