Capcom's latest trademark is all Greek to me
Capcom has filed a mysterious new trademark, fuelling speculation the suddenly prolific publisher has yet another new IP in the works.
Siliconera reports Capcom Japan filed the trademark for Ixion Saga.
A domain, ixion-saga.com, has also turned up.
Ixion is a famous patricide in Greek mythology, known as one of a handful of named figures condemned to eternal punishment in the underworld. He was bound to a burning wheel, which sounds like a worse bet than the better-known Sisyphus, the dude with the rock.
The name may be familiar to gamers from Square Enix's Final Fantasy series, where it is attached to a lightning spirit.
Capcom announced new IP Dragon's Dogma in April, after keeping mum about the trademark for at least six months.
