Capcom to patch SFIV AE PC on Monday

Capcom is working on a patch for the newly-debuted PC release of Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition, which is having a few issues.

Writing on Capcom Unity, a representative said the patch is expected to go live by Monday July 11.

The updated fighter has been plagued by a number of issues since its launch this week including a failure to recognise feature-rich of keyboards. Capcom advises players to use a standard keyboard or Xbox 360 controller while the patch is being prepared.

Control problems don't stop there, with key remapping causing crashes at launch.

Graphically, setting the game to smooth mode has resulted in dropped animation frames, but this isn't expected to be fixed until a separate patch on July 25.

Finally, although the Steam version of the game has removed a 15-character limit on offline play, other versions are yet to update; this patch is due on July 16.

Capcom requests users report issues to a thread on the site's forums.

Thanks, Blue.
