Capcom reports 57% profit drop

Capcom has reported a 57 percent fall in profits for the nine months ending December 31, down to ¥179‭ ‬billion from ¥3.57‭ ‬billion in the previous corresponding period.

Sales fell 9 percent to Sales‭ ‬fell to‭ ‬¥47.2 billion.

“The absence of flagship titles as well as consumers‭’ ‬money-saving attitudes also negatively affected‭ ‬sales,‭” ‬said the company.

It was noted in the report that Resident Evil 5 and Street Fighter IV won't ship until the year's fourth quarter.
