Call of Duty: World at War players will get Double XP this weekend starting Friday, July 3 until Monday, July 6.
It's a worldwide thing. Not just US specific despite the holiday connotations.
July 3 also sees a playlist update, where the Map Pack 2 maps will be incorporated into the main Core and Hardcore rotations.
