Watch 6 minutes of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Gunfight gameplay in good quality and without squealing manchildren

The powers that be at Call of Duty: Modern Warfare developer Infinity Ward have finally answered fans' calls for some raw gameplay.

Infinity Ward has released nearly six minutes of solid Call of Duty: Modern Warfare gameplay showing off the new Gunfight mode. Gunfight was first revealed last week in what's perhaps been one of the worst reveals in recent memory.

The ultra-competitive 2v2 Gunfight is new to Call of Duty, with maps unique to the mode. The footage, just like last week's show, show off three of these maps: Pine, King, and Stack running on PS4 Pro. In Gunfight, all four players spawn with the same loadout, picked from a random assortment of weapons, attachments and throwables/tacticals and they can't regenerate health.

Today's footage, which you can see below, does a great job of illustrating the finer gameplay tweaks coming in Modern Warfare. The slide is clear to see, and we also get a brief look at the mounting/leaning system which lets you lean your weapon against a ledge for greater accuracy. Reloading while aimed down sights is also demonstrated.

More will be announced on August 1 during the big Call of Duty: Modern Warfare multiplayer reveal event.
